April Workshop - Kim McAvoy on Cyanotypes and Susi Nodding on Nanlites - and more

It's been years in the making, but finally, Kim is going to tell us all how she made her beach cyanotypes for her university Photomedia unit. Cyanotype is one of the original photographic processes and is thankfully, environmentally friendly.
Come along to find out how to prepare your papers and your ideas before we have our May cyanotype outing at the beach.

Susi will be demonstrating how to set up and use the club's Nanlite set, so that you can feel confident about borrowing it.

AND there will be two surprise segments to round out the night, so come along and find out what they are all about!

April Outing - Freo Street Arts Festival

It’s legendary and it’s a photographic bonanza! It’s the annual Fremantle International Street Arts Festival over Easter.
The WA Camera Club invites members to gather at the Ferris wheel in the Esplanade Park at 5 o’clock for an evening’s fun and shooting.
The group will then meander up to Walyalup Koort - between Queen St and William St - to take in a few twilight and night performances.

May Outing - Cyanotypes at the Beach

Join us for an early morning developing session at the beach (destination TBA, but most likely Trigg).
If the weatherman predicts nasty weather on that day, we may move it from Sun 11th, to Sat 10th.

If you want to do more than spectate, you must come prepared with your own equipment:
- Papers, pre-painted with cyanotype and stored in a dark box
- Some way to secure your papers if there is a bit of wind
- Objects or items you want to use as stencils
- Pre-printed negatives on transparencies
- Any boards, clamps or other bits you need to develop your ideas

Come on down for a bit of fun!
